There are some important factors that you need to know to cleanse effectively.
Whatever herbal products you should choose to use will be greatly enhanced by a change in diet as well.
Drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water every day.
During a cleanse it is best to eliminate the following:
Red Meat – pork, beef, lamb, goat, venison etc.
Alcohol – yes wine has alcohol in it too
Sugar – commonly known as white death . This means eliminating packaged food
All packaged food today has an abundance of sugar and salt added
Caffeine – if the headaches are huge wind down to green tea and drink many
glasses of water – this will help incredibly.
Drugs
All white food, white bread, rice, pasta, cakes, cookies, white salt
Saturated fats – butter and margarine and animal fats ( above)
Iodized Salt (see above in white food) pink Himalayan or other alternative unadulterated salts are fine in very small amounts added to the cooking (if you must cook your food)
The North American idea of a cleanse is to eat mainly fresh and raw.
This along with any herbal products you may be using will greatly encourage peristalsis
(that’s bowel movements)
If you follow the above you will have several days where you will experience an
“Elimination “ effect. This means your body will start to eliminate the things you are not eating or drinking. This may give you a few bad days with exhaustion, headaches, aches and pains in places you hadn’t notice before.
